Beste collegas,
Aan alles komt een einde, en elk einde is de start van weer een nieuw begin.
Met veel goesting en enthousiasme startten we lang geleden onze missie om orthopedische patiënten zo goed als mogelijk te verzorgen, en die passie zijn we nooit verloren.
Op 14 oktober 2023 fungeren we erg graag, voor een laatste keer, als jullie voorzitters van een congres dat we veertien jaren geleden samen opstartten en dat ondertussen tot een standaard is uitgegroeid. Onze jaarlijkse ontmoeting met gelijkgestemden is en blijft een ijkpunt voor onszelf, voor onze orthopedische dienst, voor onze trouwe deelnemers en uiteindelijk ook voor onze patiënten.
Met deze editie willen we de fakkel doorgeven aan de jonge generatie die met exact dezelfde drive bezield is en die eveneens bakens wil en zal verzetten.
We zijn erg trots jullie een fantastische en onuitgegeven faculty te kunnen aanbieden rond een thema dat ons bijzonder nauw aan het hart ligt: “de gewrichtssparende orthopedie”. Hoe kunnen we moeder natuur optimaal helpen om prothese chirurgie zo lang mogelijk uit te stellen en liefst onnodig te maken?
Onze line up brengt een mix van boeiende en innoverende knie- en heupgewricht bewarende topics.
Keynote spreker Lars Engebretsen veroorzaakte een ware revolutie in de sportmedische wereld met zijn doorgedreven onderzoek in opdracht van het Internationaal Olympisch Commité naar sportletselpreventie en is op dat gebied absolute wereldtop.
Michael Dienst op zijn beurt levert baanbrekend werk op gebied van conserverende heuparthroscopie en het is een hele eer ook hem te mogen ontvangen.
Naast deze wereldtoppers belooft de hele faculty spetterend vuurwerk met innovatie als drijfveer.

Dear Colleagues,
Everything comes to an end, and every end is the start of yet another new beginning.
With great pleasure and enthusiasm, we started a long time ago with our mission to care for orthopaedic patients in the best possible way, and we have never lost that passion.
On 14 October 2023, we are very happy to serve, for one last time, as your chairs of a congress that we started together fourteen years ago, and which has since become a standard. Our annual meeting with like-minded people is and remains a benchmark for ourselves, our orthopaedic service, our loyal participants and, ultimately, our patients.
With this edition, we want to pass on the torch to the younger generation. They are animated with the same drive and also want to and will set new standards.
We are very proud to be able to offer you a fantastic and unpublished faculty on a theme that is particularly close to our hearts: “joint preservation in orthopaedics”. How can we best help Mother Nature delay, and preferably make unnecessary, prosthetic surgery as long as possible?
Our line-up brings a mix of exciting and innovative knee and hip joint preservation topics.
Keynote speaker Lars Engebretsen revolutionised the sports medicine world with his thorough research commissioned by the International Olympic Committee on sports injury prevention and he is an absolute world leader in this field.
In turn, Michael Dienst is doing pioneering work in the field of conservative hip arthroscopy and it is a great honour to host him as well.
In addition to these world-beaters, the entire faculty promises sparkling fireworks with innovation as the driving force
